On May 31, the first industry sharing meeting in 2019 initiated by DCL —”Crossover Synergy and Symbiosis of Real Estate Industry and distressed Assets Industry” was successfully held in DCL Shanghai office.
For the distressed asset industry, how to achieve the defect elimination, value enhancement and efficient realization of real estate collateral has always been the focus of exploration and attention; for the real estate industry, it is becoming more and more difficult to obtain new projects, and how to tap the existing assets, expand access channels, and reduce access costs are also hot topics of concern. The integration of resources in two different industries, cross-border synergy, symbiosis and win-win have become a subject for both industries.
At the meeting, DCL and twelve guests from the real estate industry and distressed asset industry spoke freely around the theme in a warm atmosphere.
This sharing meeting provides a platform for the coming guests to discuss and communicate, so that the pioneers of cross-border cooperation between the two industries can enhance their understanding and familiarity with each other. On the other hand, they can both learn and promote each other in a harmonious way. The discussion session of this sharing meeting sets four topics:
(1) The status, general proportions, and reasons for the pattern of the three mainstream models of cross-border cooperation;
(2) Subjective concern and objective obstacles of real estate investment institutions when participate in judicial auctions;
(3) Differences between owners of distressed assets (mortgagee) and owners of traditional real estate, the real estate industry’s expectations and suggestions for cooperation with distressed assets industry;
(4) Discussion on cross-border cooperative innovation and the possible pathways.
Twelve guests shared their understandings and views on these four discussion topics.
